Does anyone have any recent experience of the services that provide a US postal address at which you can receive mail and also international forwarding for mail and goods? I'm looking to purchase one of the services so that I can have a recognisable address (I plan to use it for some tasks on Amazon Turk) and also for getting some goods delivered to the UK which could otherwise only be sent to the US. Ideally looking for one where the costs aren't excessive (subscriptions costs vs cost of postage) and with good customer service. If you've had experience of them posting to the UK it's a plus, but anywhere in the world is fine and useful. Any recommendations welcome and appreciated.
Well I don't normally reply to myself but in the absence of any other ideas I signed up with Borderlinx. The good point is that it's a $5 one-off fee for set up, after that there's just postage charges. Reviews are generally positive. They also prepay customs which saves a lot of hassle when goods arrive in the UK. The bad point is that postage is more expensive (and there's no way of hoping that a package gets through untaxed). But with no monthly subscription I can always change my mind later. If anyone's interested in how I get on just leave a note and I'll post an update in a few weeks.
