US or Canada Hosting?

    Hey guys,

As I mentioned on the other thread, I'm going to open an online shop.
I heard before that if I'm not a US citizen, I shouldn't use a US based hosting company if I want to monetize the site.

Does anyone know if its true?

Should I just use a Canadian hosting for instance?

    Thank you.

I don't know about taxation issues, but in terms of defences for defamation, politically-incorrect speech, and copyright infringement by third parties, the U.S. is way better. It has:

    -The DMCA
-Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act
    -The First Amendment
    -The SPEECH Act

If you have negative customer reviews of products available for your online shop, the Communications Decency Act may be of special importance.
