Amazing, I just checked out pizza.com just looks like a portal to me with all things related to pizza, a bit of adsemse and a small endorsement by Pizza Hut, honestly thst's it , take a look yourself!
This is such an amazing sale. Overpriced in my opinion for some of the other domains you could have bought for that price. But definately no less amazing. Just goes to show .com is and always will be king
I'm pissed at myself for buying crap domain names in the late 90s. I bet there were so many incredible one word .com's in 1997. I used to make up words and register them, then I wound up dropping them as the years went by, anyway...
The pizza industry is huge.. whoever bought this will make their money back in over time. especially if they develop the site
it just goes to show you that a unique, one of kind domain name, is something that is worth buying for. good for the person who bought the domain.
How funny I just registered so I can post this. Feeding off the story, I just registered "beerns*x.com" from GoD*ddy. Was that a good idea? Someone mentioned here that GD might not have been good to use.
Yes, many of us regret now that if we had started our online business at least 10 years ago... with the knowledge that we have now...
Opportunity passes by your eyes in a flash after which it is impossible to catch. Well, there might be another opportunity right now in front of your eyes. Catch it or after 10 years you will say ... i wish i had ....
It would be nice if pizza.com offered online ordering services for small mom and pop pizza shops. That would help in attracting traffic and force the big pizza chains to spend some $ advertising on that site. Congrats to the seller of this domain. He can now buy plenty of pizzas!
back then, I was scared off that it was a recurring annual fee (of whatever it was, $10 or so). Little did I know, 10 years later I'd have like 80 or 90 of them.
No problem, I'm sure that one day a new TLD as popular as .com will be invented. ...at least I hope Robert
