Great idea, dudes! PM me or post in this thread if you would like me to send you the addresses. Dev, I just sent them to you. Me too!
I'm getting into it now but keep loosing. These 6 pairs of jeans would have been nice but I was outbid last second.
There are over 100 billions dollars of losses.. no matter how rich of a country you are, that's a lot of money. It so sad, people are dieing by the minute, no water and food. Today i was watching a program about the Katrina. It sad to see these poor people trying to survive.
I bought some girls clothes Will PM you for the address. We better make sure were not causing bidding wars amongst eachother
No paypal. Neither one of them has an account. Here's what the girl in Houston told me: So if you want, you can send gift cards, or you can paypal ME and I'll send gift cards or a check. Whatever you want is fine w/ me.
I promise to donate some money..and yes it is worst than 9/11 ... I was so upset when i heard the news. hamoudi
You guys are awesome. For those of you who don't feel comfortable donating to larger groups like the Red Cross I just found this list of smaller groups helping survivors many various ways. The list includes info on what each group is doing.
Here's a bright story among all the depressing news... Also...this is a funny story. I've been following this blog since the beginning, these folks have been camped out in their offices keeping their datacenter online. The guy writing the blog and working for them is ex-military.
I think the direct approach is a lot better. Great idea Rob. Anyone read about Paypal freezing a lot of donations? http://www.wired.com/news/hurricane/0,2904,68788,00.html
Something Awful is hosted by the company that's blogging (which I linked to just above your post). Their site was actually down for a little while. I'm sure that there are some scammers out there so I can't fault Paypal for wanting to verify what's going on. I'd hate to see thousands of donation dollars disappear into the wrong hands.
US has received aid offers from all around the globe. Heartening to see the poorest countries like Afghanistan and Nigeria coming forward to contribute. http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/04/katrina.world.aid/
