Hi there, First let me say, I did already buy a .us domain (reason: just part of an eventual larger strategy) but I got all these warnings before completing it. It was through godaddy.com and it was warning me (through a 3rd-party, I think) about something like they would hunt me down and hang me if I wasn't American or based in the U.S....but it still let me purchase the domain! Can someone explain what this is about? Thanks in advance! Shawn Bremner
Well I registered a .US domain name via godaddy simply because my site is totally orientated to the US market. And I noticed that there is a restriction on the registration of the .US domains that they must be a business operating in the US or servicing the market I believe. So they are probably just warning you that you must use it for a site marketed for the US market. Drew.
