hello, has anybody here, who is not from the US, registered a .us domain and is that ok? I mean will i be punished somehow if i register it?
Cause i want a .us domain but i see that i have to be US citizen or company or what not.

You need to be a US resident or citizen... or else you risk losing if they do an audit.

You'll run a risk of them doing a background check on your domain and potentially taking it away from you.

You're not missing out - .us is a bad extension. Reason being - it's one of the few ccTLDs that just does not geotarget correctly.
