Now maybe Google can stop worrying about Microsoft and go back to worrying about the Big Daddy mess.

That's just crap though, Microsoft should be allowed to use whatever default engine they want, it's their own product. If Google wants to have a default spot, they should create their own OS and sell it to the public and then use their own browser. Google just wanted that spot -- they will win anyway in the end.

I can't wait for Vista, should see a big spike in my MSN traffic as thats my second biggest source of traffic while Google is playing yoyo.

and I found out Google pays Mozilla to have Firefox set as the default engine to Google. I agree with the DOJ and our Goverment on IE7 search bar. It's easy to switch search providers for anyone who don't want MSN default.

And what kind of pressure/incentive do they provide? Set it to us, or no OS? Are they paying for the placement?
It is nice to hear it is easy to change, but Google had better get it together before Windows Vista launches, or the number of people who change it to Google will be dismal...

    A9 switches to Windows Live!

    so... maybe it's a harbinger?

MSN search engine is pretty good, but as far as I'm concerned people (like myself) used google not because it was better but because it was a clean interface.

    Some people won't even care...

I am also of the feeling that google results are getting worse day by day (from searcher's point of view) but people use google because it is fast and clean.

Ask is doing pretty nicely on those fronts - have you seen the TV ads? They are spending some bucks to get noticed... and the commercials feature Apostolos Gerasoulis, the founder.

Google getting sucks from day to day, dont you see when you search at the right side, there's a lot of crap site converting adwords to adsense?? Should google also display this ?? Then where is the advertising value ?? While other keep focusing on new way to improve, they just playing around with all this, yeah now i agreed with what microsoft said, they have enough patience to develop, being impatience just like G, hmm, such a mess ..

someone mentioned it above, but as a firefox user i noticed this myself. That on firefox Google is the default engine. Now is this hypocritial or what? So Google can look after their interests but microsoft can't... Firefox is a different company than Google but the close relationship is there for all to be seen.
