US based website - targetting google.de (german domain)

    my site is US based. We have a german section written in german language.

    you can see it here : (dot)mapsofworld(dot)com/deutsch/

    If we search landkarten on google.com we are in top 25

    but if we search on google.de , its come at 270 (approx.)

    What specifically could i do to get on top on google.de

    How long has your site had its german section and are your german keywords as competitive as your english ones?

    yes our german keywords are quite competitive but not as competitve as english keywords......Our german section is around four months old.......

    Infact competition in german domain should be less as compared to .com domain..
