I hv visited the Etrade site and they need min USD1,000 to open account, is that correct?

 

Hi, I also want to know how much the first deposit I have to make. But as I have read from other forums, you can just make any amount deposit as Kenbiz said.

The other thing I want to know is how to get a Platinum Visa Debit Card.
If I check "E*TRADE Complete Platinum Visa Debit Card" in the application form, will it be mailed to me along with the welcome kit, when?

Some said it will be mailed to you even you don't have money in ETRADE. But others and Kenbiz said you have to have some money in ETRADE before they send you the card.

Anyone knows?

You can still get a us bank account as a non us-resident. I think if you need a us bank account it should be for proper reason. Try to visit associatedsolution.com. They got good offer and it works great.

the asia pacific form will be sent to hongkong, and the old form will be sent to US

 

E*trade is just brokerage account. If over 1 year and you don't do any trade options like buy or sell your account will be frozen.
