US Army Exo-skeleton Development - Robotic Warfare? Obesity?

    We've seen this coming for years, william Gibson wrote about it in his books, the technology features heavily in Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Warhammer 40,000, Aliens, Marvel comics (esp. Ironman etc...) But a rather nifty prototype of a Strength enhancing Exo-skeletion is here: (it’s a video)

    Aside from the military applications I imagine the potential civilian benefits (especially for the disabled etc...) would be astonishing! So do you guys think that this “could” be the solution of the future or do you think it could seal humanities doom like something from the film Irobot? Also would you say that robotic movement would be a good thing, or do you think it will cause mankind to become lazy and dependent on robotics?
