   I insert them by clicking the URL icon in the editor, and then a little place to enter the URL pops up and i paste it there. After i click submit and it takes me to the post, the url hasn't parsed.

   Not sure exactly what you mean by parsing URLs... it doesn't parse or break down URLs.
