I am putting this site http://www.urlkick.com up for sale.

I've got this site earlier and yes, it is working fine. The only thing is that the site does not seems to fall into line of what our company wants to provide.

I am looking for a buyer for this site.

The domain name is hosted at GoDaddy and expires on March 6th 2007 and I could provide a free kick over to you if you sign up for a free account.

I've brought the site earlier this month and did make several adjustments and modification for the site and did a submission to numerous search engines which should be picking the site up soon.

You will need a Linux server or account to run this.

If anyone is interested, please start bidding for it.

I am setting the BIN at $100 via paypal.

    Thanks.

The Domain Name is registered at GoDaddy. The site is hosted on my server now.

Yes, the URL are stored in MySQL. The Backend admin provides a simple interface for adding banners, managed urls and users.

It is a neat and simple to use script.

It is actually a great tool if you market it right.

Thanks for your bid. The bids are currently still way below what I have paid for the site so I'll wait.

For the surfer, it probably is useful to shorten version long links especially to forum, search engines or anywhere with very long URL paths. You know sometimes in your email if the links get wrapped around to the second or third lines, not the entire link can be hyperlink and the surfers needs to copy and paste everything over line by line. Well, with URLKick, you get a shorter URL which is easier to copy.

For the owner of the site, there is the marketing potential. Because when someone visits the created shorten link, they will be put into a frame, with the top main frame being the site and the bottom frame will include your links, a banner and in this case, I have integrated a Google Search box which they can use. All results would still be frame. I've made the bottom link refresh over a 90 seconds time frame so that it would display new banners.

It is a nice concept and potential money maker, it is just that it did not quite fit my schedule to maintain it.
