hi there about two minutes ago i was using "overture keyword selector tool" and "digitalpoint.com" tools ... and noticed that they dont have plurals ... example: car (yes) -> cars (same as "car"). so we dont really know if users search for "car" or "cars" since im going to register a name ... i would like to know your opinion about if it should be in singular or plural. and WHY? my concern is that "inurl" "allinurl" may actually make a difference in order of appearance in results (if it appears in first or on the 10 position of 3rd page) examples: yourwebsiteaboutCAR.com yourwebsiteaboutCARS.com Limitations: the urls are for search engines. i dont neet the url to be easy to remember or whatsoever. please comment and have a cool weekend
Then you should try the plural version. Your website may rank for "your website about CAR" and "your website about CARS" if you have the yourwebsiteaboutCARS.com
I think it depends on the keywords your after. Some keywords use plural and others do not. You can use cars and try to get both listings.
You can try the free wordtracker tool at: reekeywords.wordtracker.com/ By the way, I would go for purals generally as it has slightly more searches overall.
There are keywords people look for in one way, or in the other, in some cases equally in both ways. I too prefer plurals as they have better chances, but think if in your case you're better off differently. And it's not only about how many searches, but also what competition you'll find. Good luck!
i would have to agree that plurals certainly seem to have more searches/day if it were me i would i would go with the plural form good luck
