URL Shortening

I know there are many services out there that offer URL Shortening, but I took a long shot and made my own. Parts are still in the development stage, but the shortening itself works perfectly, and also allows customization of links. I'm not expecting many people to use this over the competitors, it was more of a learning experience than anything else.

3 Months a go i have coded a similar script .. but my script was have 3 methods to viewing the url :
1 - Redirecting to the url
2 - Wait a few seconds then redirect the visitor to the url
3 - put the url in Iframe

and i have made a counter for every url
And an advanced control panel ..

Good luck dear .. and remember ( If you want your website became a famous .. just write an articles and make a lot of links and publish it in the forums and blogs )

 

you should develop an api so website can use your service automaticly, its pretty easy and will make you more visitors

Yes phurl is a great script which uses PHP

 

I made my own to, however I couldn't afford to buy the URL. I did however implement it into another website of mine, LinkBASE.us
