HI all I'm looking for a little info about the above. 3 questions in total, if anyone could help I'd appreciate it 1) Firstly, our site uses session id's and occasionally attaches these to the end of the url in the form ;jsessionid=21894793872374209370293hwht8902y - my question is, is there anything you can put in the robots.tx file to say do not index and urls containing "jsessionid=" 2) secondly - we are thinking of rewriting our urls from dynamic to static eg - www.website.com/UK/London?country=uk&city=London to www.website.com/UK/London - the problem is that we do have some good results for the dynamic urls and don't want to lose this. Do you think that we woiuld regain the rank quickly or should we just stick to what we have? 3) we are thinking of changing the name of a directory to contain the keywords we are targetting ie from "directory 1" to "Hotels" - can we then do a permanent redirect in order to carry over the pagerank/inbound links - do you think this would hurt our positino in the serps? Anyone with any help on these questions would be appreciated Thanks
the solution is more on the utilization of the mod_rewrite function and the writing on the coding of your php app to produce fake urls then let mod_rewrite parse those fake to produce the needed page in request. Nintendo has more of it Hope it Helps
