whats the best way to use Url Rewrite

3) http://www.carpartgurus.com/Acura/TL/Alternators.aspx
4) it does not matter.

also does this page look like spam to a search engine

I'll Prefer third option; as it looks proper hierarchy.

 

i have also questions in my mind like you. but i researched on this issue sometimes. I suggest 1 and 2. last line will not be a spam. because for example i figured out that url.com/q=Acura TL Alternators and Acura TL Alternators has a good ranking and he is in first page. i think google try to match keywords in url.

I would suggest:

This page name would be easy to remember… Friendly URLs tend to rank and position well in search engine listings.

By adding slashes like Acura/TL/Alternators you create a hierarchy that puts your page on a third level. This would mean that you have Acura folder then TL folder in it and Alternators within TL folder. Unless you have a default page in each of these folders hierarchy should be avoided.
