URL Question

Hey all,

I'm shooting for a key phrase "Filma Shqip" (means Albanian Movies)... My domain is FilmatShqiptar.com which is a longer version of "Filma Shqip"... Now would it be better to have:

www.FilmatShqiptar.com/Movie-Name or www.Filmatshqiptar.com/Filma-Shqip/Movie-Name

 

I usually try to use the shortest URL possible. I've found the most success when utilizing this theory. On most of my websites i use:

domain.com/page

instead of:

domain.com/category/page

so, to answer your question, i suggest using www.FilmatShqiptar.com/Movie-Name for your URL's

It is not matter that your is longer, if your url is related to your theme then it is better.

 

If that's true, I will have at least 2 exact keywords in my url, maybe 4 if they search for that exact movie... That is why I'm asking, is there a difference?

I know users finding sites on serps will go for cleaner shorter url because they will see Movie-Name right behind the domain instead of a few slashes back.

 

It's doesn't matter on the length of the URL but on how you optimized the site.

go with the shortest, SE count the most front text higher,,,

 

I think you should go with www.Filmatshqiptar.com/Filma-Shqip/Movie-Name cuz after all your targeted keyword is Filma Shqip and if that is in the URL you'll have good successs... atleast i do most of the times..

I'll Try Both, see which has more success. I have a site now that uses /Movie-Name without the keyword and it isn't even indexed yet.

 

i think second one is better.

i allways prefer shorter urls
