Can anyone help me with this Channel question?

Let's assume a website where most of the pages are in the root, but some are in subdirectories.

    You set up channels for:

mydomain.com (to catch the main hits)
mydomain.com/subdirectory (to catch the subdirectory hits)

Now let's assume that 100 people went directly to mydomain.com and another 10 people went directly to mydomain.com/subdirectory.

    Question:

Would mydomain.com show 100 visitors or 110 visitors.

I ask because, as I understand it, mydomain.com also records hits for subdirectories.
