I was one among those who have sent a message. Do you think $3 for 300words is cheap? That is in fact a good pay here in DP. If you are not willing to work for that rate, why do you bother to reply in the first hand? 1cent a word is a very good rate and the purchasing power of $1 is higher in some parts of the world. Do remember this when you yell on people complaining about cheap rate. I bet, you are not going to earn more than this here in DP. Let me add one more thing, DP is one of the very few places where writers get a decent pay. Have you ever checked GAF?

If $1 has an extremely high purchasing power for that writer, then that writer won't be native english, and their articles will be of low-moderate quality. 90% of the writers writing for $0.01 a word are awful, and it's the same percentage for people who aren't native english speakers. If you pay someone $0.01 a word, you aren't going to get good quality. My rates have always been higher and I've consistently found work through DP.

Like Jagan says in some parts of the world $3 per article is not a bad rate, and I am not looking for pieces or art, or long masterpieces. Just good grammar is all I ask. Also would like to point out Jagan sent me a very good sample, not a piece of junk.
Not all none native speakers are awful in speaking the English language. Some of them are really good at speaking English better than other native speakers. Just let the client and writer have his ways.
Paying writers badly is bad for everyone. The content they create will inevitably be lower-quality, and if they're a good-quality writer, they'll soon figure out that they deserve higher pay for their efforts. A properly-researched article will take longer to write, and nobody can afford to live on $3/hour. It's frustrating for the few writers with great English who live there, but those who can live on $3/hour are very unlikely to write an article that will be comprehensible and free of spelling and grammatical errors. It really gets to me when I see writers accepting such low rates for their work. It undercuts everyone in the business, and limits their own success when they don't realize that if they're good writers, they can charge $20/hour or more without having a shortage of business. Experienced webmasters are often willing to pay extra for quality.
Hi Guys, I usually add my own words to the articles anyway and do little changes so it makes it more my article. If a guy in a country can earn a living from creating articles of okay quality and people are willing to buy these then I dont see a problem. I definitely agree with you. But we are going off topic. I think we can discuss about this elsewhere here in DP. Even i hate buyers who ask me to write 500words for $1. That is not feasible at any part of this world. At the end of the day, buyers need to realise that they get what they pay for. Here, the OP clearly stated that she does not demand magazine quality article or a native writer to write for her. I understand that for a native English writer $3 for 300words is low. But not for me or for my fellow DPers who can write good content living somewhere down in Asia. Have you ever wondered why DP has grown to this heights and success? Globalization dude. You cannot complain on the rates and people here. I have no issues writing for 1cent a word as long as i get enough work. The moment i feel "i got busy", i increase my pay rate. I have found many good writers for around 2.00 an article though you may want to make sure you are not geting duplicate content from them. no one should down anyone for making a living.just remember you get what you pay for.
