    We need more writers up our roster since we're up to our eyeballs with in-house work.

    Qualified writers should be able to:

    a. know the difference between formal native English and "directly translated non-English-to-English";
    b. understand "readability" and improve an article's overall readability without overusing bullet lists, subheaders, etc.;
    c. create sentences or paragraphs with 100% clarity;
    d. identify clutter that makes it difficult to read and understand sentences or paragraphs;
    e. remove all clutter to incorporate 100% clarity;
    f. be able to differentiate overly fat paragraphs from readable ones;
    g. know the difference of overly long sentences from readable ones;
    h. be capable of restructuring incoherent content;
    i. know how to use control sentences immediately defining clear-cut points of a paragraph;
    j. know how to use factual information necessary for supporting control sentences;
    k. be capable of extensively researching on a subject and using the materials to create content useful for the target audience without paraphrasing any research material or directly plagiarizing paragraphs, sentences, or even common phrases;
    l. be diligent enough to spot even the smallest grammatical/clarity/coherence/readability/spelling/punctuation/usefulness/uniqueness issues;
    m. know the importance of always using active voice sentences;
    n. be able to define the inverse pyramid writing system (used on press releases);
    o. always use specific words and non-archaic terms or phrases;
    p. incorporate direct and comprehensible language since readers should understand the message of a sentence or a paragraph with just one swoop;
    q. properly use word/phrase variations whenever necessary;
    r. perfectly understand all necessary aspects to be covered about the topic;
    s. know the difference between useful content and overly general information; and
    t. know the difference between necessary supporting statements and redundant or reiterated concepts.
