I'm not very good in designing logo's so I'm giving this to you all to do. This is for a client. I need a skate/surf logo with the text "surf & skate warehouse". Colors and everything else is up to you. I will be closing this competition right around midnight. I'll post here once I don't accept new entries.... It will however take a day or two before I announce the winner, as I have to wait for the client to decide which one he wants. $10 through paypal or alertpay.
Here's my entry so far: its a work in progress and id just like your feedback before i go any further with these fonts. The font i chose is strong, bold, slightly grungy to fit in with the skater feel, and i've also made it italic wich fits in with speed. Feedback on the fonts i chose would be good, also im not sure on the colours, if you have any colours in mind looking at the current design, please share your opinions with me, i thought the black actually looked quite good, but it's up to the client at the end of the day. Oh and i also wanted to know if you need an image/icon that represents skating, because i was planning on just focuzing on the text. So yeah get back to me.
Not looking too bad, but most of the entries are lacking professionalism. I want it young and funky, but professional at the same time. Try to put some web 2.0 glossy effects in it... don't know how it will look, since it's a skate/surf logo, but it's something you can think of trying if it will fit in your logo. It's nearly 8pm in my time (I'm from South Africa), I know we are 6-9 hours ahead from the US and everything, so I'll keep it open till around 8/9am in my time, so you've still got a few hours, however, please try and post your entries as soon as possible. I think it will look better if you make "&" and "Warehouse" the same colors. Cheesy - Your going in the right direction... some color would be nice... maybe an oranje/black combination...
