Hey guys, I used godaddy to purchase my domain. They have temporarily suspended my domain for spam abuse.

My website of course is on Clickbank and is just starting to get sales. How the hell am i supposed to keep affiliates from spamming to the point I can keep a domain?

I can't imagine how the top Clickbank products do it when I know they are getting 10 times the traffic and affiliates than me!

What is my solution here!??? Please help anybody with experience in this!

    Thanks in advance.

    Mate,

I know exactly what you mean!
I am going through the exact same thing.. Do you know who sent the emails out? If so, post the first 4 letters of their email. I want to see if its the same person.

My domain was actually blacklisted last week because of this and I had to change hosts.

Email clickbank and talk with them. They have emailed the affiliate in question and disabled their account from promoting my offer.

It's a serious issue and it seems cb has very little control over it.

PS. weird that you posted this when I have just spent the past week going through the same thing.

That is crazy. I have no idea who or what email it was. What hosting company did you transfer to? I just looked up some shit on godaddy and they have a lot of complaints of screwing people over on this. I am very pissed fuck godaddy. I need to find a hosting company that won't do this!!!

call godaddy directly, call CB directly, get the AFF that's sending you the most traffic banned (look in your analytics), if you must, simply get another domain (from namecheap or somewhere else if GD can't help you) and swap your site details/url in CB, hosting you should be ok with anywhere really, but if you want a personal recommendation - I use scalahosting.com for most of my shit (a vps) and it's more than protected, they don't take you down for affiliates doings...

Thanks for the advice, I called them already and that pissed me off even more. The guy was a jackass and said I had to email them, he wouldn't help me over the phone.

I just need a new company to buy the domain from, I am good on hosting. I found a website called nodaddy.com (lol) and they have a forum I am going through to read suggestions. This is ridiculous!

Well after finding numerous complaints on godaddy and many people with the same problem I am switching registars to namecheap.com. They have good reviews. Thanks everybody!

yes, no host will talk to you over the phone about this. Been their done that.

BTW, it does not matter what host you move to. If you get an RBL listing your domain must be disabled from the host for them to clear their server.

CB has said they will look into it however it's really out of their hands. Hosts do not want to get done for harbouring a spammer so will not hesitate to remove you from their servers.

Crazy, a good reminder to have a back up system in place on standby should your main site(s) and rev streams go down due to this. I'd simply setup a duplicate of the site on another domain(s), and server(s), and be ready to switch your CB site URL/sales/thankyoupages, should this happen... (I usually backup and duplicate once a month - can't have this happen on big accounts or aff's leave by the dozen).

That's why I don't use Godaddy anymore, all it takes is one spam complaint and your site is down and I've heard of so many people having the same problem. Their policy is guilty until proven innocent or shoot first and ask questions later!
