Hi there, We recently upgraded to a dedicated server and had a Red5 RTMP flash server installed on it, as we are looking to produce many video streams in the near future - the first of which being on Wednesday evening. Unfortunately, our web hosts could not offer any further assistance with setting up the server and I am not experienced enough to use command line and the like to configure Red5 correctly, so we really need some help. Basically, I am looking for someone to assist us in setting up the server so I can simply copy and paste the rtmp:// link into Wirecast and begin broadcasting. If anyone is able to help us do this, I would be most grateful if you could reply to this thread, PM me or drop me an email ASAP. Many thanks, Jordan
Hi Jordan, If you haven't found anyone I can do this for you. I've installed Red5 multiple times in the past. I also have an article explaining how to install it; however, it may be somewhat dated. I can't post it yet because my post count is not high enough, but get in touch with me.
Dear Jordan. the main problem is RTMp getting more hardware resources. so the Shared Hosting Company dont support RTMP. so if you need red5 install. simply getting vps node and install it. if you need help PM Me
If you have a CentOS server you can install red5 as explained on this tutorial: http://www.videochat-scripts.com/installed-red5-08-rc3-with-jdk-1613-on-linux/ Tutorials are also available for other flavors.
