I was trying to download a file recently which contained a virus. After I obtained the virus, I could not do anything really. Everything was locked. So I decided to reinstall my windows. So I put the CD in and it did its thing. Then it told me to restart the computer. So I pressed restart but nothing happened. I tried again and again but still nothing. So I turned off the computer manually by pressing the button which was a bad decision on my end.

So now when I turn on my computer, it says "Please select your operation windows".

When I press Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, the screen gets stuck. When I press Microsoft Windows XP Setup, it shows a black screen with an underscore blinking. How do I reinstall my windows now?

How do I delete and create new partitions?

Edit: Nevermind. I know how. I will try this tomorrow.

    Thanks,

First start your PC then put your windows XP CD into it and reboot it

it would install again.. do n't take out your winxp CD unless it tells you

Also select some new parition to install otherwise you could lose your whole parition

What do you need 2 operating Windows XP systems on one HD for? They only take additional space on your hard drive. When reinstalling the OS, delete both of them and install one of them (either XP Pro or XP Home Edition) in the selected partition.
