I just noticed that some spammer got a non-existent page on my site indexed.. the url is basically http://www.site.com/?ref=spamsite.com It bascally shows the same content that would be on the site without the ?ref spam crap on the end of the url. In result, the page that originally had that content on it has dropped from the google index because of duplicate content, and I'm losing traffic because of it. Anyone know a quick way to htaccess redirect all urls that contain ?ref= to my homepage?
I'll send paypal $10 for the quickest answer that actually works... I need to redirect all ?ref=something urls to the homepage.
I wish I had the answer. This adress a black hat seo technique that as been ignore by google from what I have read. A malicious person can duplicate your content by submitting url through a proxy. Almost same thing.
