If you have root access to your server you need to remove all the session files in /tmp directory cd to your /tmp directory and type rm -fR * that should remove all the session files. Then type df that will show you the drive space in /tmp Looks like your /tmp directory is not updating correctly. But give that a try and you should be ok.

yum update will use the same kernel. You will need to compile a new kernel, and switch to it. If you don't know how to do it, it would be better to hire an admin to do it
