Hi everybody, Today i bought two domains from namecheap.com 12 hours ago. but now while i signed in my gmail i found a message that my order has been canceled. then went to sign in my namecheap.com account i found this message "For security reasons, this account has been locked due to too many failed login tries. The user name will be enabled after 12/12/2099 EST. If you think this is an error please email us using the same email address currently on your account to have your account enabled. i sent them a message to support. what should i do now, please help. do they have a phone number to contact them ?
They do that when they suspect fraud. You will have to email them to get it resolved. Perhaps you are in high risk country. Where are you? Did you pay with PayPal or a credit card? Was the PayPal account/card in your name and was the account/card in the same country as you and your IP?
Wow, that really sucks. Your account won't be activated again until 2099? I'm very sorry. Apparently they have suspicious against you, or someone else has tried to get you in trouble. You're going to have to contact them and try to sort everything out. I wish you the best of luck; please keep us updated!
Just wait for the support to get back to you and all will be fine I have over 100 domains with them and they have always sorted any problems i have had as they will do so with you just give it some time cheers mrix
I am from Egypt,& i used my credit card & it has my name on it & i use ip from Egypt. I did nothing wrong. i dont know why they did that. & i already emailed them. waiting for their reply. I wanna know do they any phone number to contact them. i checked the site but didn't find any numbers.
hey guys, they replied me & asked me for my phone number to call me to ensure that iam the same person. i send them my phone number, but they didnt call, instead they sent me this message. Is that right
Yes, that happens. Many companies do this when they suspect a transaction to be of high risk to them. Anyway, you should have used a verified paypal account to avoid all this mess.
