    Hi Everyone,

i have a dedicated server which was possibly under attack of some internet worm.

Now the server was so busy due to action of the worm that we are not able to login into it using remote desktop on Widows 2003. the server is windows2003

and i am not able to reset the server, as there is some error in the reset option.

Can anyone tell some other way to restart the server so that am able to login into it once to manage the things a bit ??

I have contacted the server company, but they will reply possibly after 5 hours from now and my many websites will be down till then.

    Anyone has any suggestions ??
    Thanks in advance

Sorry man, other than giving them a call and seeing if they can help I don't have any suggestions.

It's a sucky situation to be in, but I'm not sure there is much you can do other than keep trying to log in. :(

I don't know how to get it going, but it looks like you got a crummy web host. Look at ev1.net and move fast once you're back up. When you make a trouble ticket to re-boot there, it's usually done with in five minutes. And you can make it automatically re-boot when it goes down by monitoring the server. The last time I had to make a reboot ticked myself was in January!!

I have two servers with The Planet and i can reboot on my own without any troubles at all.
Here also at XLHOST.com i have the option to remote re boot in case of emergency, but its not working for this server.
