Urgent Help: Paypal & Client Issue

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by Scott Botkins, Nov 11, 2005.

    Hello,

I recently did a design for someone about a month ago, he paid me through paypal, last night he filed a seller claim and they're going to give his money back to him. I took off my bank account so it can't pay him back through me, I have until Nov. 21st until it does it. Is there any solutions to this problem? This guy didn't even pay me fully, he was suppose to pay me $100USD but instead gave me $100CAD and I still told him I'd be nice and do the design for him.

    Thanks!
    Scott

Paypal have a pretty nice idea; but the are very lame sometimes:: they have closed my account sometimes because i had lots of activity.

Why did he file a seller claim?
It is up to the you and him to work this out and keep Paypal out of the way.

He filed a claim so he can just get his money back. I bought a 2checkout account so I don't have to deal with paypal, is that a good alternative?

    Thanks!

I'm not worried about them anymore, it's pretty lame how the seller has no opportunity what so ever to win a claim unless you shipped something with a tracking number. I also took off my checking account, so i'll open another account using a different email and i'll use my new company name.

    Do so...

It is very funny that the seller tries to take back his money from you after you delivered your services...

For future reference, if accepting Payment for something virtual on Paypal, make sure your buyer:

    • Is Paypal Verified
    • Selects 'Service' as Payment Type
    • Doesn't include address with Payment

That way, the transaction appears as intangible to Paypal, and therefore, you can't provide proof of postage so they can't get money back :)
