My first 2 months of running my website, i made $557

But since November, my CTR has dropped so low that i earn about $0.2 per click!! What seems to be the problem?

    Please help me out!

I would not be to quick to pass that information around... as I think CTR has ALOT to do with getting paid with Google... I have a Picture Website that gets about 7500-10,000 visits a month, and had 3 different types of ads placements displaying on the site. and VERY VERY few click through. So it dropped to like .02 cents IF EVEN THAT a click FOR ALL MY SITES ! I took off the ads, cause I figured if that type of visitor is not going to click on the ads G was displaying, and visitors DONT LIKE SEEING ADS * for the most part * then why not just take them off.

I dont really know how long its been - at least 3-4 months - but NOW, I am seeing GOOD EARNINGS.

I am showing about 1% of the ads I was showing but getting a click through ratio of over 400% more then what I was. Because the other sites I have visitors LIKE THE ADS GOOGLE IS DISPLAYING !

Well now I am getting about .65 to 1.35 a click

So I am a FIRM BELIEVER that CTR plays a good part in PAYOUT PER CLICK

    - and to Dé Niro

What I suggest you do is :

remove the top G advert by your Logo at the top of the page, and try to sell that space to a few different people using a banner rotator.

then on the right hand side below where you have your RSVP form box instead of have the text ads there - make it IMAGE ONLY ADS from google... people there for a guest list probably dont wanna read things, I would assume they are more visual.

and then for the 3rd little text ad area near the bottom of your site, I would just remove it... you are already using the custom google search.

so what all that would do is drop your Google Adsense Ad Views down DRAMATICALLY - as of now you are showing 3 ad views for every ONE PAGE VIEW - which in return would increase your CTR then along with the visitors being more image oriented I would assume you would get even MORE CTR which would again INCREASE CTR... then in like 3 months come back and let us know if it helped any...

Hope to hear back soon !

I also used to use all three blocks, until I read that the first adsense block in your html code is the one that Google services the highest paid clicks with. I reduced down from 3 ads to 1-2 and am now earning far more than when I was running all three blocks. CPC earnings jumped - sounds like yours did too!

Nice site. Ads seem to be in good spots and colors match site well. Did your traffic remain the same? Things appeared to slow down for everyone during Nov-Dec cause of the holidays.

how many webmasters did you hear that from ???

200... or even 2000... still not good statistics to place on ALL webmasters...
I dont think things slowed down, both sides of the fence wouldve picked up around that time I would assume.

Advertisers want to push their products and visitors want to view/buy around that time.
