Hello all. It seems that Joomla is like the mafia. Just when I thought I was out... I've been corresponding with someone from the eFiction.org site. Basically, for those of you who do not know, eFiction is just about the only script currently developed that handles what I call "long-form" submissions, such as fan fiction, novels, etc. In other words, I'm looking for a solution for authors. A short while ago, I had coded a Joomla 1.0 bridge for eFiction (yeah, bridges suck ) just to fulfill this need. Needless to say, for various reasons, converting this to 1.5 is highly unlikely for me to do, as I have a day job and many other responsibilities. The person who has contacted me is desperate for a solution. I myself am rolling a site where I need this functionality, and I'm currently stuck using my Joomla 1.0 bridge to get my project done because I can't find a "writer CMS". One HUGE issue I've had with pretty much all CMS platforms I've tried (especially Joomla) is that the logic escapes me. I find myself having to fight the d*mned thing to make it do something fairly simple. So, for you CMS experts (kev, Will.Spencer, and all the other usual suspects), is there a solution for this situation that will put me in a good long-term position? Does WordPress have some extended writing plugin I haven't seen? Is there some other CMS that supports extended writing?
