well, i got 8 sales within 15 minutes last night. i guess that's what they meant. i'm not sure whether it was just a coincidence though.
man this clickbank crazyness just drives me crazy ... is it that hard to keep the system running smoothly?!?
"Dear Affiliate, Yesterday, we announced a partial Hoplink disruption on our System Log. The issue was resolved quickly and did not affect sales. However, there were some affiliates that were not credited immediately for a portion of their sales. Those affiliates were matched to the appropriate orders, and we have made the necessary adjustments to each account. As one of those affiliates, you will now see the correct amounts reflected for any orders for which you should have earned a commission between 10:00 a.m. PT on 2008-11-12 to 7:30 a.m. PT on 2008-11-13. If you have any questions regarding which orders were changed, please contact our Customer Service Department (http://www.clickbank.com/publisherquestion.html). Thank you for your patience! Best Regards, ClickBank Customer Service" Just recieved the above email, however I have to point out that my affiliates sales are exactly the same as before + my publisher sales are the same as well . I'm currently testing a new product in which im the only affiliate and as a publishers i recieved sales without affiliate link because of this problem(therefore 100% comission to publisher and nothing to the afifliate) - as the afifliate i didnt got credited for these sales of which i know for sure that they were done by my affiliate link.
How many sales are we talking here? Because I have two products on CB that I do NOT promote and yet somewhere around 1 in 15 sales comes as a direct sale. Its been like this for months. I chalk it up to people who clear the cookie (maybe shared comps or erasing porn footprints ) and then return from a bookmark or remember the url. If its a really high % of sales though, maybe will be cleared up by the time 24 hrs is over.
Did you document this? take the screenshots of your affiliate conversions (if you're using conversion tracking) and throw these at Clickbank. lets see what they come up with. It's a MAJOR F*CK Up by Clickbank if it's true what u saying. especially after they announced that the issue had been solved.
Probably they would come up stating that the buyers didnt passed trough the hoplink or some other lame excuses. But its for sure that the buyers were send trough my affiliate link (since im the only one promoting and the product is new - not even in the marketplace) Sales were made and 100% of the commission was (and still is) in the publisher account. While in this case i still got the money, the thing im worried about is because affiliates were not given their commission and clickbank is stating that they retrieved those sales and awarded them accordingly. This alone explain lot of things! So they have a system that logs all sales and their respective affiliates, and when something goes wrong this "logging" still have that data and all they have to do is retrieve the sales and give them to the affiliates. Now, wouldnt this explain the lot of sudden sales that magically appear after some people complain to clickbank?
Did you re-check yesterday (13 nov) sales AND the day before yesterday (12 nov) sales? I noticed no changes on my stats for yesterday. But the stats for the day before yesterday has been changed (extra sales/conversions have been added by clicbank). Nevertheless, I'm almost sure they are not able to correct all sales since they simply did not track the sales. Perhaps they took some avareges and looked at the differences?
Yes I checked and they are the same, well no worries. I wonder when we will finally have someone that can beat the hell out of clickbank! Their crappy system should be updated and without some real competition they are probably not really going to do much...
well, i WAS paid for missing sales for the 12th. if all my sudden sales were not a coincidence of course. there were no referrals for these though, so i assume the sales were added for the ones that didn't track properly. but your case shows that its still an ongoing issue, despite Clickbank stating that it has been resovled. and yes, this can explain why sales magically appear after contacting clickbank. so one can assume that the problem has been there for quite some time and hasn't been sorted out yet. all this does my head in to be honest. every time you start suspecting something's wrong the sales magically pop up, then once you start thinking that it's all been sorted some new problems emerge. ridiculous innit?
Hi, I just checked one link in my website with a ClickBank product to see if there was something wrong. But it looks fine...I thought your reporting may be related to the downturn in sales I´ve had recently...But I think it´s just the recession....(
Today on Clickbank my affiliate sales were a record low. My publisher sales were a record high. My sales else where were also record highs. Maybe I should e-mail them and see what happens lol. With these kinds of problems, being on the publisher end of things seems a whole lot smarter haha.
I have encountered the sae problem too...My affiliate links are not working in firefox...How to fix this one? I just use Internet explorer to check it and its fine at all. Whats wrong with firefox?
I think CB might have small issues But its the whole economy in general If you do not think it is then you need to leave your parents house or your bedroom Look at all the retail problems, sales are down BIG TIME, big name stores are closing Yet everyone here seems to cry and think its to do with CB Its funny because you do not read about the big dogs having any problems, just the crybabies here and other forums where people make $10
I received the email too, and fired back a reply that that's great but it doesn't explain what's been going on for weeks, so BS.
Mate, Yes obviously the economy is messed up and therefore less sales (we have been in this situation since september), but how can you say that its not clickbank when they just reported that they had a problem themselves just less than 2 days ago?
