    Knowing that this design was to be reproduced as a woven label I could tell that some of the designs weren't going to work regardless of whetehr or not Snaponsin liked them. The jacquard cost for some of them would have been huge. For those who don't know, a jacquard is a punched card system that controls the placement of each thread.

    This highlights the fact that many, and maybe even most, graphic designers don't understand the different kinds of label making. There are at least 26 different ways to add a brand or logo to different kinds of products.

    If graphic artists want to get business designing for labels I suggest they start looking at how different labels are made.
