The image on www.upvery.com accompanying this post is a concept developed by Lockheed Martin. The idea is to achieve supersonic speeds decreasing level of sonic booms through a reverse V-wing. Other technologies are being considered to increase the operating range, increase the load and reduce environmental impact. This ship is one of several supersonic concepts that were presented in April 2010 the board of NASA's Aeronautical Research for funding a program of studies of this type of aircraft that could enter service between 2030 and 2035.
