Would you mind if I will write one word in my description in UPPER case? There is an important service listed on my tourist website, the transfer from airport to hotel, which may be used by every tourist. Would you mind if the phrase "...Free Airport Transfer..." will be written in this way: "...FREE Airport Transfer...". The word FREE will be in upper case.
There is nothing wrong with doing so. The meta description is not even used by most search engines to rank URLs. Google doesn't use it for rankings. Even if they did, their search results are NOT case sensitive. A search for "MORTGAGE" and "mortgage" will yield the same results. Capitalizing a word like "free" can be a good idea when optimizing your meta description element as it will likely draw attention to your organic listing if the meta description is shown as the Google search snippet. I would, however, NOT recommend capitalizing ALL words in the meta description. Use this technique very sparingly. But "FREE" is probably one of the very few words I WOULD capitalize in a meta description.
YES YES YES It does matter. Because the spiders in the main search engine (google) will count that site as spam, think about it if everyone could capitalize there meta tags they would. I wouldn’t capitalize any but one word. <a href="http://www.healthycarpetsnow.com";>ann arbor carpet cleaning</a>
Weird post, you joined last October but waited a year to make your first post. Maybe next on in 2012.
