Upload Screenshot" allows you to upload computer screenshots. The benefit of this site is that it does not require you to save the screenshot/printscreen to an image file before uploading. Simply hit the printscrn button on your keyboard (or ALT+printscrn to capture just the active window) and then click the PASTE button on the website, http://www.uploadscreenshot.com. I realize that the java prompt is an unfortunate barrier, but you can choose to permanently accept the applet so that it loads automatically in future. Here is an example screenshot that I've uploaded: http://www.uploadscreenshot.com/image/39452/2540123 I find myself constantly uploading screenshots for people to view. Maybe you will find this useful too... Feedback would be much appreciated. Hats off to your work Really a cool site and a good java applet. I will be using this site forever. Great work
Great Idea. I am always making screenshots in paint for stats and adsense, etc; Very simple and great Java plan. I will also be trying it out for a standard in my arsinal of apps.
I like the concept but I think you should add some colors into the color scheme and add a logo to the site.
Thanks for all the feedback. I've dragged the URL to my firefox toolbar so there is an "upload screenshot" button which saves me typing in the URL, one little bit easier. I may revisit the design of the site, but I prefer light/airy and quick loading sites. I think neutral (boring) sites are more likely to be acceptable by all sorts of users including business users.
In my FF I received a popup error message about the digital signature not matching etc.. I use the FF extension Fireshot which uploads screen images to easycaptures.com that not only captures the image, but allows you to edit, crop etc ... for both visable screen view and entire screen view ... this is a valuable service and I use it all the time. If your site had that capture ability - I would see myself coming to your site to use it .. even without the crop/edit features .. but as it is now - it seems 1-sided. I didn't have any images handy to test your applet.
Thanks for the feedback, our firefox add-on does have the entire page and only viewable area options. See here: http://www.uploadscreenshot.com/ff-tutorial Also, just wanted to say that..... ---- the site has served over a million image loads now ---- I've cleaned up the styling of the site a bit ---- added short URLs for uploaded images, e.g. http://ScrnSht.com/hyggos ---- Added an API: http://www.uploadscreenshot.com/api-documentation ---- Added Stats for uploads: http://www.uploadscreenshot.com/stats/39452/2540123 ---- Added full resolution embed codes/capability ---- got a logo done:
Wow, your stats results are really nice. The overall design is simple but professional and its quite simple to use. I think your site can become huge
Good work..there is no provision found when i need to save 10 screen shots and share with my friends (like Group)
Thanks, Already working on it, along with user accounts, and desktop software! Just put something basic up this second, good idea, thanks!
