I have downloaded CyberDuck to my MAC and want to upload WordPress to my new account with A Small Orange.
Of course I'm stuck with the upload part...

For starters I need to "point" the domain name that is registered through GoDaddy to ASO - Another problem...

    I'm such a NOOB

You are getting ahead of yourself.

Through godaddy you need to go to My Account -> Manage Domains -> check the box and click 'Set Nameservers'

You will then use the nameservers from your host (asmallorange) it should look something like dns1.example.com and dns2.example.com

After you do that, you will need to wait between 1 hour and 24 hours usually.

Then open cyberduck and create a bookmark to either
    ftp://yourdomain.com
    or
    yourdomain.com

the put in your username and password.

once Cyberduck has connected, double click public_html then the folder of your domain. Put your files into that domain folder.

With Cyberduck you need to drag the files from your desktop onto the folder you want to put them in.

Thanx, I went to GoDaddy and did what you suggested. Easy enough. A couple of questions:

    1) You mentioned it takes from 1 hour to 24 hours - how will I know it has cleared?
    2) I registered my name as the domain name and saved it .com, .org, .net. (sounded like a good idea at the time). I checked off all three and entered the dns1 & dns2 for all three. Was that correct?

AfterHim - I figured out the answer to my first question. I just entered the domain name into the address bar and didn't see GoDaddy's parked page.

    Thanx,

    Not a problem.

Let me know if you need anything else. I don't really like Cyberduck, but it is just about all us Mac users have.

Actually I'm sure I'll have PLENTY of questions but let's go at it one at a time :)
I've finally gotten the site working... sort of. When I go to mydomain.com I get the Index List. I need to type in mydomain.com/wordpress to actually see the site. Now I'm in the process of trying to fix it so that it works the other way around. I've found this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
I'm having a problem right off the bat... #1 in the process "Create the new location for the core WordPress files to be stored" What, Where and How?
I've completed the next few steps then I come to #6 and I'm a total mess.

What a NOOB... I don't mean to be a pest.
