i have a theme saved on my desktop and its saved as .rar... i have the winrar program installed and thats what is saving it..

anyways when i uploaded it in file manager, i check the box and clicked extract...

i have been waiting for 15 minutes and it still shows the loading progress bar going across... how long should this take??

    the size says 261.27 KB.

Extract the file on your desktop. Make a zip file of extracted files and then upload to file manger. Click extract.

why don't you extract rar file on your local system and then upload the extracted folder in your theme directory via FTP?

its easy just extract on your desktop and upload the whole directory to your server in the content/theme directory its better to use filezilla rather than cpanel upload system

Try uploading files via FTP. Should be better, at least you see what is going on.
