Upload /Insert Image is not working in Wordpress

I cannot get the upload insert image to work in my blog. Would appreciate help with this problem. I also cannot edit my permalink.

 

Make sure that you are running the latest version of WP. You also may be missing a file or 2, try reinstalling.
For the media uploader, try disabling the flash uploader and see of that works.
If so, make sure that you are running the latest version of Flash in your browser.

 

Thanks , but I do not have the technical skills . I did upgrade and it still did not work. I am looking for a Wordpress technician, please let me know if this is your field and with your rates.

 

Some basic troubleshooting tips:

1. Disable all of your plug ins and see if this solves the problem. If so, reactivate them one by one until you find the culprit.
2. Wordpress image uploaded uses a flash. Make sure that you have the latest version: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
3. Make sure that you are running the most updated version of your browser. ( FF, IE, Safari...whichever it is)
4. Try disabling the flash uploader and using the manual one. It gives you the choice when you click the image uploader.
5. Are you getting any error messages? If so, what do they say?

 

Thanks once again. I have tried it all. I did not know how to disable the flash, so I goggled it and used a disabled download. I hope that was right. I have contacted Network solutions and they will fix it for a nice price. I was hoping to be able to fix it with out having to pay a ridiculous price.

 

I did not try to see if I am missing any files as I do not have a clue on that one.

 

I'll probably charge close to what they are charging. Mainly because there are so many variable to jumping into a site that you didn't build and trying to figure out if the client did something that they think is insignificant but is causing the problem.

If you were missing files, you would likely have other symptoms or get some kind of error messages.

More than likely (if you are running all updated versions of WordPress and all plug is) , it is a plug in, or theme conflict.

Try to upload an image using a different browser to rule out that it's a browser or flash issue on your computer.
Disable all plug ins and then try it, to rule out that it is a plug in issue.

If you have done all of that and you still can't upload an image, think back to the last time that it worked and what you have done since then.

It would also help if you give a link to your blog.
