I've recently upgraded to PHP5 and installed MOD_Security via WHM and seeing how smooth it went i'm wondering if i should push my luck and upgrade to Apache 2.0 .. I understand that my dual-cpu server will probably perform better on 2.0 than 1.3 .. How smooth should upgrading from Apache 1.3 to 2.0 go via Easy Apache Update in WHM ? Anything i should watch-out for? If something breaks, is it just a matter of rebuilding back to 1.3 to unbreak everything?
now ur current version of apache is smooth then use as it as,also when u upgrade 2.2.10 there migh not be any issue
You shouldnt have to many issues. If you want you can go through and select each package you need or want by clicking the custom button. And if something does break then click go back to the easy apache and click on the first button so that you can roll back to the old version.
as i was hoping, the upgrade from Apache 1.3 to 2.2 was fast and easy.. Mod_security2 is much better (yet harder to configure)
login ssh and run /scripts/easyapache Code (markup): and configure what you need like " GD " " Zend" Mod_sec" " Free type " php 5 or 4 etc
yes you can build any version of apache 1.3 and 2.0 and you can also use 1.3 if u dont like 2.0. there is no such issue
