Hi Guys Thanks for the positive feedback. Great. A lot of you mentioned do a fresh install instead of upgrading. However if you read the guide properly you will realise that a fresh install is the ONLY option possible when upgrading from XP to Windows 7. There is NO such thing as true upgrading from XP to Windows 7. It is merely a method of retaining your files and settings elsewhere while you install Windows 7 then transfering all your files and settings back on. Regards
Unlike Vista, Windows 7 is surely recommended. It's better than Windows XP. I have been testing it for the past many months. Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 have the similar kernel and its rock stable. Its really worth moving to Windows 7 (for client) and Windows 2008 R2 (for server).
If you're worried whether your apps will work or not for windows 7, don't worry. Just get Windows XP mode and you can install your xp drivers/applications there. Superb app imo
Since last three year, I am using Window XP and I am pretty much satisfied with its performance. Window Vista and Window 7 require extra configuration which in not the case in Window XP.
Thanks a ton...for the guide help. I will keep in handy, to use it as soon as I am ready to switch over to windows 7! Hopefully... it would save me a lot of time and effort. Regards, RightMan
anyway which link you provide to upgrade xp to windows 7 is not working now check it first and then upload here please it effect forum quality
It's pretty obvious on how to install a OP for me, but some people don't know how to. Good job on the guide, thanks.
I wasnt sure if this was common or not, but when I did a clean install to Win7 from Vista it saved my Vista files in a windows.old file. All of the files are still available and can be copied over to your new installation.
