If you are into gaming and have a good graphics card which support a high resolution obviously having a larger screen improves things when you can see everything around you.
No no no. I'm not that decadent. It was the self build I've just finished putting it together it... Pic here
I think its always good to make a upgrade. A bigger screen the better but a 19 inch is not that bad. But yeah its a excellent upgrade.
I think it depends on what you do. If you use your computer mostly for Internet and other works than 19 is good enough but if you are movie and game freak 24 will be fantastic.
Too bad i don't have money now to buy new monitor, but i would be very happy to have such big screen, like 24". Now i'm using 17", Benq FP71G+.
For webmasters and developers big screen's also good option. At a glance, every person can make use of monitor like that.
According to me its really worth of it, but it really depends on your need if you really need to upgrade then go for it
i have sony bravia 32'' and man its really huge to run a PC! it really hurt my eyes! sometimes too much big screen isnt a good choice and i love 24''.
Finally got it set up. To be honest, I don't see a great deal of difference. I'm sure once I get around to loading up After Effects and InDesign the extra space will help... but for now, I'm almost wishing I'd bought a second hand 19" Philips the same as my old one. Maybe I'll do that too And yes, that is the shipping plastic on the front of my case
when you buy a monitor with a screen size is so large, there may be some things you should consider, and this is certainly very important. watch your visibility. because if it does not. you will suffer from myopic eyes .. as it has been my own experience
That was an awesome setup, similar to mine. Your new widescreen looks very nice. Place a internet modem right in between 2 monitors on the table. You have space there for other things i guess. Keep going!
I have a strict policy of having NOTHING on my desk, except the keyboard/mouse... and whatever I'm drinking. No notepads, no paperwork, no nothing!
I upgraded and have certainly been valuable to me. But ... I've always had opinion - "bigger and better." I bought a new netbook for my girlfriend and my system looks like a monster compared to that of my friend. thanks that's all that I know
I've been working with InDesign all day, and I'm FINALLY beginning to appreciate the extra horizontal space for the tool panels. I'm still totally hating the Windows 7 font rendering though. I never thought I'd find a use for dual monitors.. but I've been running daytime TV in my second monitor, which makes me work at least 25% slower
