upgrading apache server 2.2.8

    Hello everyone,

    I having a problem for upgrading apache server 2.2.8 to 2.2.14
    When i try to install the apache 2.2.14, it prompted to uninstall the old version then try to install the new one.
    What i need is to avoid uninstalling the old version and upgrade the new version.

    please help how can i upgrade an apache server in that way.

    I will really really appreciate your help.

    Do you need to overwrite existing apache or you need to have 2 of them?
