Upgraded logo (banner) on site - like oppinion on it

I added a mirror effect to the banner of my sites name ... The one in the top left of the site (in black and green) Click Here to see it

Could you tell me waht you think of it?? Is it too much??? Maybe too hard to read??

The effect looks ok but it could be better, the reflection is too close to the text
there should be slightly more space between them and you should make the reflection
slightly transparent.

 

Mirror part not too blend with the background.

 

Nearly your whole website is image based, even your "latest headlines". It should be a top priority to convert that to CSS. If someone wanted to quote your headlines without clicking into the full story, they wouldn't be able to.

Even on a 10mbit line there was a delay when your website was loading.

 

I think the effect on the text is to much, the site seems very cluttered to me..
