Upgrade Question

    Today I installed SMF forum software on my site but In the future I plan to upgrade to VB would it be possible to upgrade to a new software and take my member database and posts with me so to speak.

    You can use Impex to import the user info, posts etc from smf to vb.

    Hey Ross:

    If you plan on upgrading in the future, why not save yourself the trouble now and just use it now?
    Then that part of your site is complete and you don't have to be concerned about it and you can concentrate on other areas of your business.

    No one knows what the future will hold and it may be easy, it may not be.
    Just my two cents worth...

    Me too hope to convert my SMF forum to a vBulletin forum in future. I searched in Google to confirm this. Yes, we can convert. But not all. However, posts. topics, users will be migrated.

    Hi

    Upgrading to VB from other forum software is rather easy nowadays. I'm sure VB do a script or converter to change so you will be ok.
