upgrade Joomla 1.5 to 1.7?

    There is no automated way to do this.. You need to re-create Joomla template and then setup all modules and components again for 1.7

    Who told that there is no automated way to do this? Use simplescripts auto script installer and update your joomla website for free.

    I don't think there exists any script that can automatically convert Joomla 1.5 to 1.7 and provide the exact look... Joomla 1.7 is different from Joomla 1.5.. You can update the core components of Joomla 1.5 using jUpgrade but I don't think there is a script that can update the templates, modules and individual component... SimpleScripts can update Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 1.5.xx or Joomla 1.7 to 1.7.xx but not Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 1.7... Try it and you should get some kind of error...
