Is it possible to update your title and meta tags too often? I changed them a couple times over the past 2 weeks however I want to change them again to get a more effective listing. Would you get penalized by SEs for updating your hidden content (title and metas) too much?
I've changed my metas often and still seen no difference. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say on thsi topic.
Just changing these two won't probably get you a good serp ranking. Getting links from related sites got significant effect on this. Too often probably not a good idea. Everytime you change them, your pages gonna be re-evaluated.
If you want to change your Meta tags then you do it. But make sure if you have to keyword listing in search engine with those keywords you have in Title tags then make sure it is also include in your current updating keyword listing.
You can change your metas as often as you want but I think it has a negative effect on your rankings. In short, not good.
Alot better to gauge the changes if you give it sometime to take effect. I do not think you would get penalised for changing this often but better to get it right and leave it sometime to see what happens. Updates may take a few weeks if not longer.
