Updating phone number, no verification?

Hi all,

I was just updating my phone number in AdSense, and after punching in the new one, there has been no notice of a need to verify it.

This is the first time I've changed my phone number. Do publishers only need to verify their original number, or is there supposed to be a verification for each change? I'd rather not find out later on that I have an invisible hold on my payments.

Till my experience, Phone numbers do not matter in adsense, Only thing that matters is Payee name and address

Maybe they haven't ever called it to contact me, but they did require me to verify my original one, so the phone number does matter (or did matter, that time) in removing my payment holds.

 

one time verification is ok. they always contact through email. don't waste your time.

 

google usually dont have any verification for phone numbers..
