Okay so I can't update wordpress, I can't add themes or plugins. IDK why but it says my username and password for the FTP are wrong....I don't know what the problem is....any ideas?
your server (host) might be down for some reason? See if you can log in to your cpanel or what ever you have.
My cpanel works fine....Is it the same user and pass and the cpanel login? thats what the support from my host told me...
have you updated your Wordpress latley? did you backup your database? PM me your details and i can take alook for you if you like.
Your wordpress login is different from cPanel login. Try the forgotten password link in Wordpress. It's at yourblog.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword You will receive a new password via e-mail.
Your FTP log in is not the same as your wp-admin, or c-panel. If you don't know what it is, just ask your host for it.
i CANT update WP....when i try, it asks for my hostname, username and pass, and then ftp or ftps. my host told me that it is the main ftp login...which is the same as cpanel login...
I think you can create a new ftp account in CPanel and configure that..... BTW which hosting service u are using. Dont they have SimpleScripts that can update your WP with just a click. If you have forgotten WP admin password then u can download the config files and get it from there.
i know the wp admin password....im using Zemhost...my host told me to make a new one too...I guess I'll try that then..lol..
