I have a sitemap now but have added some pages. Do I:a. make a new sitemap and upload it including the new pages and and leave the other one in place too?b. Upload the new one and delete the old one?c. Ammend the old one to include the new pages?
Replace the old one. Better still, have a site that is driven by a content management system that generates its own sitemaps so you never have to think about it.
Hi, If you don't have any option for automated sitemap generator then generate new for whole site and just replace it with old one. That's it....
You can also schedule and automate a sitemap tool (used when e.g. no runnning a CMS with a sitemap plugin) to scan, re-generate sitemaps and FTP upload sitemaps e.g. at end of each day. (When you are sleeping or similar.)
if you are using a script , use cron to run the script any time. if a static sitemap , use any sitemap tool , and then upload the sitemap in .xml file , and upload it to the domain root "/" folder , and submit it to google/yahoo.
I am still searching automated sitemap generator. I am running a webmaster forum named WDP Forum. This forum is built on MyBB platform. So can you share the name of any plugins compatible with MyBB.
